What is a Nicebook? It’s a more private, personal social media experience using Google Photos.
Devised by Mike Elgan, Nicebook is simply a shared Google Photos album accessible by invite. It’s a great way to share photos and memories with family and friends in an ad-free, image-focused environment. The pictures are better quality and they’re presented in a more beautiful and appealing layout.
It’s not a solution for marketing, it’s a solution for sharing. There are no ads, no hashtags, no pseudo-celebrity culture. Curation of both content and users is a lot easier. It’s fairly easy to set up and is easy to share.
I use mine to share photos and some videos, and will post some information about upcoming shows and projects. Feel free to join mine, like and comment on photos. If you make your own Nicebook, let me know and I’ll happily join yours. I don’t frequently use social media for a variety of reasons, so this is one of the best ways to follow my activity.
